From Lakeland Electric to Summit Holdings, over 30 alumni walked around downtown Lakeland learning about new and existing opportunities for our community. Shawn Sherrouse started the day with an update on new businesses and developments for Lakeland. Our walking tour took us to Historic Promenade at Lake Mirror to Catapult, Madden Building, Pressed, CO-Hatch, and Lemon Street Promenade. Our tour ended with a personal tour of Summit Holdings. Since 1989, 30 alumni from the Leadership Lakeland Alumni Association have been recipients of the Jere Annis Award. This award was established in 1989 by this Association to honor Dr Jere Annis, one of the organizers of the Leadership Lakeland Program, past president of the Lakeland Area Chamber of Commerce, and Chairman of Leadership Lakeland classes 1 and 2. Dr. Annis, who passed away in 1989, was one of the founders of the Watson Clinic. This year’s recipient is Tim Mitc
